Are you tired of being bombarded with questions? Do you feel like you are often in an interrogation? And do you ever wish you could get asked just one question at a time? And would it make you crazy, if someone did this to you at the beginning of a newsletter?

Well, turns out, it's not just you. 🙂

This was what I would call a ‘stack attack’. Someone asks multiple questions in a row.

Stacking questions is a tactic (or habit?) that should be avoided. Imagine a job interviewer firing off 4 questions in one breath. It's overwhelming and not considerate. Not only does it put pressure on the person being asked, but it can also lead to misunderstandings and come across as rude. Lastly, it looks disorganised and the other person will likely just answer one of your questions anyway.

Next time you realise you are stacking questions, catch yourself and stop. Bear the feeling of monetary imperfection. Take a step back and remember the importance of respectful back-and-forth conversations and that less is more here.

Ask

one

question

at a time.

Positive side effect? You will be much easier to listen to, when you do this. And it typically increases the competence people see in you.

All the best in the coming week!!

p.s. I also published a podcast episode on this very topic on Friday. Enjoy!!
