Building a Course Platform
at the Speed of Thought

A platform I manage entirely through AI, where a new product goes from vision to live in a day. This is my journey of building it, shared openly.

alphaGoal: July 25, 2026Where are we now?↓

What

This is my public roadmap. It tracks a real experiment where I'm building an entire course platform with AI, sharing every step openly.

Why

I want to build something remarkable. The journey matters as much as the outcome. I'm sharing openly, starting a conversation, figuring out what nobody has figured out yet.

Who

I'm Maik Frank, German, living in Singapore for 20 years. Leadership coach, father of four, with a background in IT, HR, and risk. 2,000+ coaching hours and an eternal experimenter.

Build Log

What happened each day: the decisions, the surprises, the learnings.

I owe you an apology for the silence. Five weeks without a word here is longer than I would ask anyone to wait.

The honest reason is a planning one. I wanted the platform live in June because I knew July would be heavy with client work. Missing that window meant exactly what I feared. The platform took a back seat while the paid work came first. That is the trade I made, and I would rather name it than dress it up.

What I did not expect is how much those extra weeks would give back.

How I Did It

Day 71 is the unveiling. The weeks since Day 70 went into the offer surface rather than new features: how a visitor is greeted and guided to the right offer, a rebuilt Executive Coaching page, and the Coaching Skills family. The build log also closes as an email format today, having served its purpose as a temporary companion to the build.

Lesson learned:

A menu asks the visitor to do the work of knowing what they need. A couple of good questions does that work for them. That change did more for the site than any new page. Naming which work takes the back seat, and when, is more honest than promising both. I chose client work over the platform in July, and the platform waited. The value was not in any single page. It was in finally having every offer described in one place, in one language, with the same structure.
